How to jailbreak/active/unlock iPhone 3Gs

Today, I helped a friend of my boss jailbreak/active/unlock his new iPhone 3Gs black. Following are my steps,
1. download firmware files here
2. customize the ispw file according to this page
3. reboot your device and then unlock it
When I jail broke iPhone 2G with PwnageTool one week ago, step 3 is not needed.

My boss asked me to jailbreak and unlock another iPhone 3Gs white. And it took me some time to find out that the choice of unlock tool is based on the base band version.
- Ultrasn0w is used to unlock for firmware 3.1.2 with base band 04.26.08
- For firmware 3.1.2 with base band 05.11.07, we need use BlackSn0w instead
ps, Cydia source url has been added to the tool name itself.
